more cowbell...errr I mean hexagon

I am really digging the stamp set I purchased from Schlosser Designs and it ties in so nicely with the Paper Issues Challenge (honey bee theme). I decided to use the largest frame of the stamp set and stamped it on pattern paper (Echo Park For The Record.......LOVE this paper set- I'm using it for a San Francisco Mini Album so I decided to use some scraps for this card.

Anyhow, I randomly stamped the fronts and backs of some of the patterns. I layered them onto a piece of paper, same stock as the card base. Then I added two punched borders on either side because it felt like it needed something more. After much deliberation, I decided to leave those hexagon shapes as the focal image. I wanted to put something on it (a bird maybe) but didn't want to cover up any of the papers because I love them all much more than would be considered normal. The only thing I don't like about it, and I shouldn't even point this out, but i intended for a horizontal layout so the words are sideways.... You'd think that with approximately 3,450 stamps laying around my room that I'd have had a sentiment that would have fit the card horizontally.....

But I needed this to be a sympathy card that so this is the way it ended up. Love the font of the sentiment. the inside says....You are in my prayers.  This is from Card Chatter- Sympathy and I love this stamp set. you can see it here

Thanks for stopping by. P.S. Where did May go??
