yet another thinking of you card

I mentioned earlier this week that I needed a couple of thinking of you cards and here is the other one that I made. Pretty simple. I feel like I use this layout frequently, so I guess I could call it my go-to quick card layout!

Pretty straight forward, so I'll just give you the card recipe:

Card Recipe:
paper-cream, sweet leaf and black- CTMH
stamps- endless friendship and Say It In Style- CTMH
other- EK Success scalloped border punch

Have a great night! It's almost Friday!

Papertrey Candy Alert!

If you like Paper Trey Ink...you've probably heard of the "A Passion for Papertrey" blog...they have a great blog candy going right now. Check it out!

thinking of you

I needed a couple of thinking of you cards this past week and this is one of them that I created. Simple and to the point. I love stamping on kraft paper. I really want the rectangle nesties...since I don't have them, I stamped the image onto a piece of scrap kraft and then used my paper cutter to trim a rectangle, mounted with foam tape onto cocoa paper and attached it to the card front.

Hope your week is going great! The weather is beautiful in my neck of the woods...totally loving it!

Card Recipe:
paper- kraft paper- from my paper stash, cocoa- CTMH
stamps- say it in style and intrinsic backgrounds- CTMH
other- foam mounting tape

I'm not sure I'm totally happy with sponging the edges because it looked so clean and crisp before I did that. Oh well, it's what I ended up with. You should see the inside of the card...that idea didn't work at all..don't you hate that?!?!

Sorry about the Mr. Linky problems- I opened another case yesterday and he *should* be working again....if not, keep doing what you've been doing by leaving a link to your in the comment!

color chef challenge #15 winner

check out the stunning card that Meredith made for the challenge. What a beauty!!

Another color challenge is on it's way first thing Monday morning!! Thanks again for those that play along. I really enjoy what you come up with!

Hope you all had a great weekend! I had a nice mix of productiveness and enjoying the backyard.

I've not been feeling very creative lately so I cleaned my stamp room a bit and am thinking about showing you how I organize my cardstock because I think I finally have a good system. Seems to always be a topic for card makers!! Do you have a great way to organize your cardstocks?

Hoping to get some stamp room time this week! Maybe you'll see a little more of me this week if I get some of my mojo back!

color chef challenge #13

Sorry you haven't seen much of me...summer does this to me. Just find it hard to get in the stamp room when it's so beautiful outside!

I'm super pumped for this weekend because I am going to San Francisco with my sister for 6 nights and 7 days!!! Any ideas on what to see?

Onto the color challenge.....

When I saw this awesome bag on Etsy, I knew I had to use it for my color challenge. Check out Deanna and Martha's Etsy shop- you'll be sure to find something fun!!

COLOR CHEF #13
YELLOW
BLACK
WHITE

I realize this color combo is similar to one that I've done before (left out the red this time) but I was so drawn to the bag, I kept coming back to that image.

Here's my card. Totally not what I set out to do, but that seems to be the way I stamp these days....don't you hate that!

For my card, I decided to see what the dotted wave border punch would look like on two sides and it worked out fairly well.

In keeping with the dot theme, I took my journaling pen and drwe dots up the spine of the butterflies. I popped each wing up by just bending them slightly after I attached it to the paper.

Have a great wee!!
