Embellish Card Submission

Hi Blog Readers!

I have not stamped in almost two weeks and it felt so good to get back in the stamp room today! My job has consumed my time the last couple of weeks and now that Halloween is over, I'll have lots more stamping time!

I just love Ashley's blog and if you haven't checked it out, she's publishing a new website called Embellish.

I decided to play along. It was most fitting for me because I just picked up a new set of Bird Stamps- so I got to play with a new owl for this card. The challenge was to use brown, green and coral along with some kind of an olive. Here is my card:


For the background of the coral layer, I stamped with the Intrinsic Background stamp using Sorbet ink on the Sorbet paper. Then, I inked the edges of that layer with Sorbet ink. I left the top piece of that paper blank, and at the edge of the stamped line the background created, I layer of green paper that was punched with my border punch.

The nesties layers were both embossed. The own was stamped and then mounted and I stamped a second piece of the image in green for the leaves.
