new paper

I made a card with all new stuff! I got some great new paper from SEI. It is has a texture to it like fabric and I love the colors! And I also got some new colored brads (like I needed those).

This paper is two-sided and the scalloped paper is the reverse side of the floral side. Hard to tell, but I inked the edges of the layer with the Happy Birthday sentiment.

long time no blog

Where has July gone? Another summer month almost over...

Here is a quick little thank you card I made for somebody. I won the stamps over at Bethany's
blog. I've always wanted to try the Lizzie Anne stamps and I finally got the chance! The first picture is a close-up of what the flowers look like with the jelly glaze pens

these boots are made for walking

I bought this set of stamps from Close To My Heart called Out West. I don't really know why I bought them but when I saw the boots, they reminded me of my niece who has the most adorable little pair of fuchsia cowboy boots (she just turned 3). So cute that we found another pair in a bigger size at a garage sale and bought them because she loves her boots so much.

I thought it made a cute little note card set for my etsy shop.

another flower card

I made another card. This time in fall-like colors.

paper & ink- vanilla, olive, autumn terra cotta, barn red, hollyhock.

The flower was popped for some dimension.

7/12 new stamps

I found some CTMH stamps at a garage sale this weekend and was happy to find a set of stamps that I have had my eyes on, and for a great deal.

I stamped the main flower image on baby pink textured stock and clear embossed. I mounted that for height. The center of the flower is stamped on sweet leaf with chocolate and I used some stickles.

The chocolate card stock across the bottom was stamped in chocolate, which creates a watermark effect.

The stem of the flower was stamped in sweet leaf on sweet leaf and was cut out. Because the image is thin, it had some natural curvature and I like the way the leaf falls over part of the flower.

I think I am going to have fun with this stamp set!

Just love the cottage floral stamp set from Close To My Heart. And, I've had these gem brads that I've been wanting to use forever and thought they were kind of cute in the centers of the flowers.
