8/29 {cute little 3x3}

I made this little 3x3 note card from some new paper that was created for Jean M called Dreaming Up Designs click to find look at all the fabulous papers!. Anyhow- I stamped thank you from here in cordinating colors. They are pretty cute in person but the picture is a little fuzzy.

8/27 {another black & white card}

I am really digging the black and white look this week. The base card is glossy white with a black middle layer and glossy top layer of card stock. The images are stamped in black and are from Close To My Heart- the flowers are from Blossom Blocks and the Happy Birthday sentiment is from Happy Birthday. The ribbon is from Jean M.

8/26 {black & white cards}

First, I apologize if this image appears really large- I am having some problems loading photos lately- I'm sure it is a totally non-user issue!

I made these little 3x3 cards. They are stamped in black. The image is from Blossom Blocks- Close To My Heart. There is white deckled-edge stock on the inside, allowing for a message!

8/24 {thank you card}

Made this card for fun. it is 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 and is made out of chocolate paper and the More To Adore patterned paper from Close To My Heart. Image is from Alfresco, also CTMH. There are a total of 7 polished gold eyelets.

8/11 {adorable}

I made this card using the Adorable set from Close To My Heart. Card size is 4x4 and the base card is white with a layer of kiwi paper. The "ribbon" is stamped in topiary and layered with a white circle with a design stamped in kiwi. Hard to tell, but there is clear sparkles on top of the design for a little "bling".

Birthday Card for my Dad

As promised, here is the card that I gave my dad for his birthday yesterday. I made it out of paper by Jean M. Olive for the base, spice for the top layer and Dreaming Up Designs Patterned paper for the flower. I stamped Rustic Flowers by CTMH into the back of the patterned paper, cut it out and put it pattern-side-up on the card. The out line of the flower was embossed in copper on clear transparency and mounted with a foam dot onto the flower. I also used the dotted background for under the flower- I stamped that in autumn terra cotta. For the envelope, I used altered letters that I found at the Dollar Store, of all places.

The bottom picture was taken at an angle to show the transparency.

My dad liked his card and we had a great afternoon celebration.

Happy Birthday to my Dad & Stamp Room Inspiration

First, a big Happy Birthday to my dad. Its his birthday today, but I can't post the card until he's seen it! We'll be celebrating tomorrow with a family dinner.

Second, I've been searching and searching for a paint color for my stamp room.

I really want to do something fun. I was at World Market last week and found a gift bag that just might be the inspiration for my color palette. I am thinking of painting the room the yellow/green color with a stripe through the middle of the wall in the blue color with curtains in brown.

What do you all think? Other suggestions?

The only hesitation I have is that I have a sky blue/lime green bathroom, which is right next to the stamp room. I feel like there are so many colors to chose from- is it too similar to the bathroom?
