A baby card

I made this baby card for some friends that had a baby in February- Dusty is finally getting to see them tonight.
I used the Friendship Blessings stamp set, spring blossom background & texture paper and the ink colors baby pink and carnation pink. I replicated the same design for the inside of the card and used some paper flowers along with a bigger brad.

A commissioned card

Some friends have asked me to make some mothers & fathers day cards for their parents- this card is a contender.

I used my new favorite stamp set from Close To My Heart called Rustic Flowers and the sentiment is from Hero Arts and it says "have a great day"

Colors are pink carnation and black.

Happy Day

I really like this set of stamps that I just got from Close To My Heart called Friendship Blessings. Had to try it out this weekend with a favorite color combination, as of late....ocean and black- I also threw some white in the mix to brighten it up.
The tiny sentiment to the top left of the card says Happy Day and is from the So Sweet Season stamp set by Close To My Heart
Paper and stamps are close to my heart- as I mentioned above colors are: ocean, black and white.
Also used ocean, black and breeze ink pads, ribbon is by Paper Salon.

A Sympathy Card

I was in need of a sympathy card for our friends. The base card and orange layer are the Bazil Textured papers- love this stuff....the patterned stock is from Chatterbox. The paper flowers are by Close To My Heart, as well as the bigger brad and Thinking of You sentiment.

Having to make this sympathy card has reminded me of the fact that sympathy cards are not something I just have on-hand. I really need to make some for my stash.

An Easter Card

I made two of these cards (one is shown open so you can see the inside sentiment) for our niece and nephew. We are meeting all the Ratcliff's for dinner at Buca tonight for a good ol' Italian Easter dinner!
It's been several years since we've been there and we're excited for the good food and good company.
I used the Easter set from Close To My Heart and the Happy is from the Cheerful Thoughts set. I am not sure if you can see it very well, but I put liquid glass and then glittered the Easter eggs. Its a fun, sparkly card that will probably be lost on the kids, but I know Tessa will appreciate the "cuteness".

Fire Traning Almost Complete

Dusty is in his last week of fire fighter training! On Monday night, they are burning a car (and putting out the fire) and on Wednesday he has his final. Upon completion of his final, he will have his NFPA 1001 certification. Even after the final, there are two final steps- they have a house burn on Saturday and then he has to be voted on to the fire department.

It's been 4 months of training 3 nights a week, four hours each night. He is so happy to be done and can't wait to start responding to fire calls!

He asked me to make a card for his teacher- this is what I came up with. We found this fire hydrant sticker by Jolee's by You. The inside is embossed with thank you by CTMH and I used 2 brad eyelets.

Just Because

The weather has been so gloomy lately, so I was in the mood to make a cheery card. I found some new ribbon rolls by Paper Salon- they have matching scrap book papers! The sentiment is a rub on by tradeMARKS. I also used the eyelet brads- they are pretty cool too. The rub-on's and coordinating elements make it card making too easy....
