It's A Party!

I really enjoy this set It's A Party. This card is a little crazy- I used black and orchid bouquet. The the orchid bouquet is the mini version of the big stamp that is in black- I covered the entire white space and it really looks like a printed piece of B & T paper.

An Encore of Simple Blossoms & Liquid Glass

I'm really hooked on this paper and stamp set- Small Pleasures and Simple Blossoms. I used twilight cardstock and sanded for a distressed look. I stamped the flower outline in twighlight onto the twilight stock and then used liquid glass to outline the flowers.

I didn't do anythign to the B & T paper- just glued it onto the base card. Then I used the flowers on cream stock and used liquid glass all over the flowers- the liquid glass made the flowers curl a bit and I think it looks cool that way.

I mounted the flowers with mounting squares for a little dimension.

Simple Blossoms & Liquid Glass

Here is a card that I've created for my card club. Stamps are simple blossoms I used sweet leaf, topiary and black inks. Papers are sweet leaf, black and white. I also used sweet leaf eyelets and liquid glass on the flowers. If you look closely, you can see that I replicated a small border on the inside of the card that replicates the outside of the card. All the layers make the card very sturdy and heavy.

Swap Cards for tonight

This card is for my swap tonight when my card club gets together. It has a valentine feel to it, but the inside says: have a great day, so it could really be used for any occasion.

The paper is from Paper Salon, a Minnesota-based scrapbook company. I love the style of their products. www.papersalon.com

Coaster Frame & Matching Card

I have had a recent obsession with creating coaster frames.
You know the frames- you get them when you order a beverage at a restaurant. After you kindly ask your server if you could have a hand full, then you decorate with your favorite scrapbook papers and embellishments.
I created this coaster frame and matching card for my sister Stacy's birthday. I bought the scarf for my niece from a co-worker. Its a little big on her, but I couldn't resist the purchase. This picture of Stacy and Morgan is actually a year old, but I love it.

I apologize for the background- I guess I'm going to have to create a photo studio for my blog postings.
